Pakistan Super League Chairman Najam Sethi is likely to be approved as the new Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board after Shaharyar Khan, the 83 year old present Chief PCB made it clear he does not want to continue in the post due to health issues.
At the recent concluded Annual General Meeting of PCB, the name of Najam Sethi was a unanimous choice.
An insider as quoted by the Press Trust of India said, “Perhaps pre – empting the situation, Sethi managed to get this resolution passed which basically confirms that he is very popular in the cricket board.”
According to a farther information of PTI, AGM made a recommendation that Sethi will be given Pride of Performance award by Pakistan Government for his service and contribution in Pakistan cricket.
Najam Sethi is the instrumental person to arrange last season Pakistan Super League final in Pakistan; the successful arrangement of the occasion raised bids for Sethi in the prestigious post of PCB Chief.
