Nannu hopeful about Bangladesh

Former Bangladesh captain Minhajul Abedin Nannu who is currently the chief selector of Bangldesh Cricket Team, is hopeful of his team doing well in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy which is scheduled to kick off with a clash high voltage clash between Bangladesh and England on the first date of June.

As Bangladesh got so many experienced as well as top performer players like Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad in the team, Nannu considering Team Bangladesh a balanced side in the upcoming tournament.

“Most of the players in the team are experienced and have been representing the country since a long time. We can put our trust on them. Riyad, Sabbir both are doing well. Young Mosaddek also in great form. Considering everything i would say we are balanced in all three departments,” said Nannu.

However, the opponents Bangladesh will face in the group stage of the high voltage tournament are all top ranked in the ranking as well as three of the hottest contenders for the trophy. But Nannu thinks that would not be a big problem as Bangladesh are capable of beating any team in the world in their day.

“No matter which opponent England, Australia or New Zealand we face, we can beat anyone in our day. Although we are in a death group, I am hopeful that we would do well,” the Bangladesh chief selector concluded.
