Nasir coming back to Bangladesh?

Nasir coming back to Bangladesh?

People from all over Bangladesh had been highly disappointed on the Bangladesh selectors for not selecting Nasir Hossain in the national team squad since a long time, despite of his great form in the domestic cricket.

Their disappointment came to an end when the selectors included him in the tri-nation series squad as well as Champions Trophy squad as one of the five stand-by cricketers. But Nasir’s role in the team has been nothing more than a water boy as he was not picked any of Bangladesh’ matches thus far in the tri-series.

More disappointment news for the fans is likely to come very soon as Nasir Hossain is unlikely to be with the team during the Champions Trophy in English. According to Nasir Hossain’s DPL team Gazi Group Cricketers coach, Nasir will be available for the Super League stage of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League.

Recently, the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) committee have changed the schedule of the ongoing league’s Super League stage, because of the severe heat. According to the new schedule Super League will be started after a break of two days.

For this changed schedule, Gazi Group will play their first two matches on 25th and 27th May. So, Nasir Hossain who is currently in Ireland with Bangladesh national cricket team will be able to play from the 2nd match as he is scheduled to fly for Bangladesh on 25th May.

“Change in schedules is good for us. Nasir will be able to play from the 2nd match after coming back. According to the previous schedule, we had our first two matches on 24th and 26th May. It would be tough for Nasir then as he is scheduled to fly for Bangladesh on 25th May,” The coach of Gazi Group Cricketers, Salahuddin said.

However, there is no announcement regarding the issue has been made by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yet.
