Pakistan seal the Test series with 2-1 win

Pakistan registered their first ever Test series win in the Caribbean soil after beating the host nation West Indies by 101 runs in a thrilling finish to the third test in Dominica.

A brave unbeaten century by Roston Chase almost saved the match for West Indies on day five, before his team were all out for 202 in their second innings with only six balls remaining in the game and the series.

Middle-order batsman Roston Chase and the West Indies tail made the visitors bowlers sweat, after Pakistan took the new ball with 17 overs remaining of the game.

But West Indies’ No. 11 batsman, Shannon Gabriel was bowled by leg-spinner Yasir Shah on the final ball of the second last over of the match after spending over half an hour at the crease.

He had faced 21 deliveries before that loopy full delivery pitching well outside off stump from Yasir Shah which took Gabriel’s inside edge and rattled into off stump. Had Gabriel survived that one last delivery, Chase who was batting on 101, would have had strike for the final over.

Among the Pakistani bowlerss, Yasir Shah bagged five wickets in his tally while fast bowler Hasan Ali took three wickets.
