The South African cricketer David Miller got his title of ‘Killer Miller’ during playing in Indian Premier League- IPL twenty/20 for the Kings XI Punjab, which is owned by famous bollywood actress Preity Zinta. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ যেভাবে মিলার হলেন ‘কিলার-মিলার’]

David is known for his aggressive batting. His fans always expect him to destroy the opponent bowlers, every time he comes in to bat. Recently he has not been in a great form. But there are still fear about his name in opponents, due to so many stories of his fire works with the bat.

But, the reason behind him to be titled as ‘Killer Miller’ is not known by many of his fans. He himself revealed the answer for his fans while talking to a cricket website during interview.

Miller said, “I scored 101 runs for Punjab while playing against RCB in a match during 2013. During that match when I was batting some of the fans in stadium got play cards with the title ‘Killer Miller’, which then was displayed in the giant screen there. That is how it happened.”

He came into bat at number five in that match. At a stage his team lost four wickets for only 68 runs. Since then it was all his show. He formed an unbeaten 130 runs partnership with Satish. He remained notout for 101 runs in just 38 balls. ‘Killer Miller’ smacked eight fours and seven sixes during his knock and sealed his team’s victory by batting for only 54 minutes.
