“Tamim Iqbal is an incredibly dangerous player at the top of the order who, on his day, can destroy any opposition attack. A fluent strokemaker and utterly fearless from the first ball,” Broad explained.
Broad also described Bangladesh as the team who would definitely definitely pose a threat in the eight-team tournament starting from June 1 with the match between Bangladesh and the hosts England.
We’ve learnt to our cost what a good team Bangladesh have grown into over the years and they will definitely pose a threat in the tournament. They have some top-class spinners and on turning wickets they will be extremely difficult opponents.
According to Broad, the other players to watch out for ahead of the start of the tournament are:
Adil Rashid (England)
James Pattinson (Australia)
Kane Williamson (New Zealand)
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja (India)
Quinton de Kock (South Africa)
Mohammad Amir (Pakistan)
Angelo Mathews (Sri Lanka)
