Tamim’s injury is not of serious kind, reveals BCB physio

Zesty Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal missed the first preparation match owing to injury troubles. Although Tigers posted a giant total on the board against Duke of Norfolk, the absence of Tamim Iqbal was of much concerning.

Chief physician of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Debashish Chowdhury procured much hope in this regard saying the nature of injury is not anything of great concern.

“I have not been informed officially about the injury of Tamim Iqbal. All I have heard is from you. Actually we are not been informed unless the injury condition is severe enough. Perhaps a scan will be done there” – Debashish Chowdhury said.

During the practice sessions prior to the first preparation match, Tamim Iqbal complained about old back injuries but the prolific performer informed there is no uncertainty raised upon the possibility of his participation in the forthcoming tri nation series and Champions Trophy.
