“The winning side is always happy and I think the way the boys are playing is the most satisfying thing for us. I’m happy with both batting and bowling,” Mashrafe told after the match.

He added, “We got early wickets, something which was important and something we missed in the previous matches. Batting wise our openers did really well and the good thing is that they didn’t give up, they finished the job.”

The 33-year-old captain praised both openers Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal as the opening pair gave Bangladesh a flying start with a 95-run opening stand in 13.3 overs. Mashrafe also praised the sensational fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman who has been playing a big role in the Tiger team since his debut. Mustafiz took four wickets

“Soumya batted really well and Tamim as well. I already spoke about Soumya, but Mustafizur has been really good; not only today, but for the past two-and-a- half-years. He has been doing a really good job for us and I hope he will continue to perform,” Mashrafe concluded.
