'A team of crickets sans tickets have set up their own wickets for a game of pest cricket'Another major sporting event has risen in the horizon and Google has exhibited another wonderful innovation of doodle. With few hours left of ICC Champions Trophy, 2017 to kick off, Google has come up with a marvelous doodle to pay tribute to the major ICC event.

Snails and crickets are shown playing the game where snails are to bowl and crickets are to bat. If the cricket gets out for 0, it transforms into a duck and whenever there is a four or six, applauses are heard in the background.

The doodle team of Google posted an update in their official blog which said, “Ah! Summer: the sound of leather on willow and the spectacle of cricket, cricket ……! As the tournament begins on Oval Cricket ground, something buzzes outside. A team of crickets sans tickets have set up their own wickets for a game of pest cricket! As they face their arch rivals, the snails, it’s sure to be a match for the centuries. Don’t be fooled by their sluggish looks – these fielders can be fast one their feet!”

It also added, “To celebrate ICC Champions Trophy, we are inviting everyone to tap/click and take a swing at our pocket size game! We know that cricket is loved worldwide, so we wanted to make sure our Doodle works for everyone, including those on slower mobile networks. Whether you are enjoying the tournament at a snail’s pace or bowling faster than the beat of a hummingbird’s wings, here’s hoping you hit it out of the park this summer!”
