When everyone is busy with finding out what went wrong with Virat Kohli’s men following their humiliating 180-run defeat to Pakistan in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on Sunday, some Indian media are claiming that “AC trouble” was the main reason behind such a disaster in The Oval. According to reports, on the eve of the ICC Champions Trophy final, Indian players had been deprived of some important hours of sleep as the air conditioners of their rooms had not been functioning properly.
On a day when the maximum temperature in London had gone upto 29 degree celsius and the level of humidity had been also higher than the usual UK standard, players had been left troubled by the technical fault.
Post their practice and all activities, the players had been looking to hit the bed early and get some sound sleep before the big day but they had found out that the ACs of their rooms were non-functional.
Several players had also complained that the electricity in their room wasn’t in place either.
While the work of fixing the fault had started, some players had gone to terrace while others had gone out for a while, thus missing out on some important hours of sleep.
After an hour and 45 minutes, the fault had been fixed and everything had started working again and the players were able to go to sleep.
