Bangladesh can surely go up – Fleming

"Bangladesh can surely go up" - Fleming

Bangladesh’s performance in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy has been poor so far. They lost their first game against England and were about to lose the second match against Australia very cheaply. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ অবশ্যই বাংলাদেশ সেমিফাইনালে যেতে পারে]

Despite of Bangladesh’s disappointing performance, former Kiwi captain Stephen Fleming believes that the side led by Mashrafe Bin Mortazaz can still go up in the tournament.

“Bangladesh can surely go up. They have proved their ability and that’s why they are currently sixth in the ICC ODI rankings. Two or three years ago, they used to show good performance in one match of any tournament and then they became vanished. But now, they have come back from those bad periods,” Fleming said.

Bangladesh will face New Zealand in a must win game for the side. It won’t be an easy task for the Tigers as Kane Williamson led New Zealand have been in superb form in the tournament thus far.

But the former Kiwi skipper, Stephen Fleming thinks that Bangladesh have the ability to beat the favourite New Zealand and go to the semifinal.

“They know the areas where they will have to improve better than me. Now, they have a break of 3 days and hopefully they have an opportunity in the last game,” Fleming signed off.
