Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy second semifinal between Bangladesh and India, probably one of the most important matches in Bangladesh’s history, former Bangladesh captain Aminul Islam Bulbul has rued not having a batsman like Virat Kohli in their arsenal, but believes the Tigers can still be capable to beat India. “Bangladesh do not have a Virat Kohli in their team but still Bangladesh have players who are capable of taking the game away from the opposition,” said Aminul, Bangladesh’s debut Test centurion against India back in 2001.

He also sees good chance for Bangladesh to beat India, “Bangladesh have a very strong chance to beat India. They have beaten a very good side recently and they also have the experience.”

However, Aminul doesn’t forget that India too are a very formidable side with so many match-winning performers to rise on the occasion.

“India too have a very good team and have lot of match winners, so this will be a very interesting match. So both the teams will be under pressure,” he said.

The highly anticipated match between Bangladesh and India will be held in Edgbaston, Birmingham on Thursday (June 15), and it can be said that prior to this game, no team are clear favorites, as it has the potential to turn out to be anyone’s game.
