This is the same ground where Mohammad Ashraful led Bangladesh to a ever-remarkable victory over Australia 12 years ago.

And now when the Tigers are once again on verge of another big match that could take them to the semifinals of the Champions Trophy, Ashraful has got some suggestions for the Tigers team management.

According to Ashraful, there should be some tactical changes in place before taking the field against the Kiwis, as Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Co. should play four players in the must-win affair instead of just three quick bowlers.

Bangladesh got to bowl 63.2 overs so far in this tournament, and they managed to pick up only three wickets. While two of them went to the pacers, the other one was bagged by occasional spinner Sabbir Rahman. So Ashraful believes bowling remains a big concern for Bangladesh.

“Actually, our bowling has not been up to the mark. And we also failed make a mark in batting as well in the previous match. But overall bowling has been one area that has been differentiating us with other teams.

“If the bowlers can not step up on the gas and do well, then it’s impossible to win matches. The bowlers have to take responsibilities on their shoulder,” said Ashraful.

He also added, “To be honest, it’s very tough for us to win in those conditions. Because our players are not much accustomed to the conditions of the UK. Maybe they have been there for one month now, still that doesn’t change the fact that Bangladesh will always lag behind compared to the teams who play in those conditions regularly.”
