Which is Bangladesh greatest victory ever in ODI cricket?
While many believe it is the win against England in Adelaide during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 that not only knokced the English Lions out of the competition but also earned Bangladesh their first ever quarterfinal berth in World Cup, Indian cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle thinks their latest win over New Zealand should also be a close contender.
“I know people will say the Adelaide match is Bangladesh’s best ever. And also we know Bangladesh beat Australia in Cardiff back in 2005. Mohammad Ashraful got runs that day, and it was also quite a memorable one. But still I believe this victory over New Zealand will also go down as one of the greatest ever,” said Bhogle.
Bhogle also thinks that Mahmudullah is a genuine class batsman who should come to bat up the order, maybe at No.4 or 5 instead of lower down the order. Bhogle urged the Bangladesh team management to take proper care of Mahmudullah, as he thinks Mahmudullah is a real gem who has many more such knocks left in him.
“Yet another century for Mahmudullah in ICC events. I don’t know what happens to him when he comes to play on big stages. But all I can say, he is a big asset for Bangladesh cricket. He can be a genuine specialist batsman at number four or five. Bangladesh should take proper care of this man,” he said.
