Tamim Iqbal is having a form of his life currently. He has scored 223 runs in two matches for Bangladesh so far in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Tigers skipper had many reasons to praise the opener. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ “তামিম অন্যদের থেকে আলাদা”]
Tamim scored his 9th ODI ton in the first game against England, 128 off 144. He was closing in to his 10th century, but missed out on it by just five runs. While other batsmen struggled at The Oval pitch against Australia, he made 114-ball 95 hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes.
“The way he batted in two consecutive games against world class opponents, it shows what type of form he is going through. Even if you look at the last eight or 10 games he scored heavily. He scored a hundred against Pakistan, against Sri Lanka at their backyard and then here, you can almost say back to hundreds. So I think he batted exactly how a world class batsman bats during peak form,” said Mashrafe on Tamim.
“He used his form properly and consistently. And if you noticed the way he came down the track to the pacers, he showed the intent. He is feeling far better and different than the other batters at the moment,” he added.
