Standing at top of the chart among all Bangladeshi batsmen in every formats of the game, Tamim Iqbal said a change in the frame of mind heralded him much success in recent days.

“Whenever I get the chance to open for my team, I try to lengthen my innings so that it benefits the team. I feel also lucky to be able to do that”- Tamim said.

“Techniques has never been a matter for me, all relied on mental approach. I talk a lot with seniors, coaches and successful cricketers outside the country when I get opportunities. There is no end of learning. I think everyone should go through learning process” – the left hander opener said.

“I learnt a lot from talking with cricketers like Hashim Amla. I have also talked with some Indian cricketers especially Sachin Tendulkar. The way he talks could make any cricketer better on receiving just a few tips from him. If I will get the chance, I want to talk with Virat Kohli also because he is a master of transforming littles into great innings” – Tamim Iqbal said.

Tamim also revealed his enormous effort upon gaining fitness over the last couple of years, “I’ve reduced almost 10 kg in last two years. it helped me a lot at the end” – he added.
