AB de Villiers has been named South Africa captain for the three-match T20I series against England which takes place after Champions Trophy. A number of experienced players have been rested for the series.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced 14-member squad for the T20Is in England which starts on June 21. Proteas T20 captain Faf du Plessis will not be available as he will return home for the birth of his first child.
Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada have been given rest. Apart from AB, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, Imran Tahir, Morne Morkel, Chris Morris, Wayne Parnell, Andile Phehlukwayo and Dwaine Pretorius are the players from Champions Trophy squad who have been selected for the T20I series.
The three T20Is between England and South Africa will be on 21, 23 and 25 June.
