'England is now a completely different side' says Eoin Morgan Brian Charles Lara sensed England as the favorite to win the title of ICC Champions Trophy, 2017; the hosts inaugurated the tournament with a thumping win against Bangladesh, ripping apart a 300 plus score without significant effort.

English captain Eoin Morgan voiced about a totally new era of English cricket saying the team is pretty much different from that of a couple of years ago.

“I think it’s completely different now. Two years down the line, we have got a completely new team, pretty much” – he said.

“It has to do with confidence and we came into this tournament with full of confidence” – English skipper lauded.

After the recent terrorist attack in London, all hotels where participating teams are staying, went under security lockdown. But the English skipper hoped the security would not be a rising issue in the tournament.

“I think we can. I think we proved that in Leeds after what happened in Manchester. I haven’t spoken to any players from other teams in the tournament. But certainly within our team, there is no concern” – said Eoin Morgan.

England is taking on New Zealand in their second match of the tournament. New Zealand are in a desperation to win the match after they were forced to share points with Australia in a rain ruined match.
