England will play to win against Australia, says Morgan

England wants to beat Australia and continue their winning momentum in the Champions Trophy.

England’s skipper Eoin Morgan has stated that his side will not show any let-up when they take on Australia in their last group fixture at Edgbaston on Saturday.

England are through to the semi-finals with victories against Bangladesh and New Zealand in their first 2 group fixtures. But now they have a chance to knock out their arch rivals Australia out of the tournament.

Morgan is determined to continue their winning ways. He has assured that his side will go into the match with only one goal, that is to win the match.

“If we’re going to be contenders, we need to beat the best and Australia are one of the best,” said Morgan.“So to go in to a game like that with no other attitude than winning is very important to us.”

Bangladesh and New Zealand will be hoping that England does them a favor, As an Australia win would send the Kiwis and the Tigers out of the tournament. However if England beats Australia, then the winner of the match of Bangladesh vs New Zealand will qualify into the semis.

Saturday’s clash could be the final time the Australia and England side meets before this winter’s Ashes series. So, England would be eager to send an early message by defeating the Aussies and knocking them out of the Champions Trophy.
