Bangladesh all rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz who has been a consistent performer for the side since his first appearance in international cricket, has said that he’s living his dream as the cricketer has been over the moon after being included in the Bangladesh squad for the ongoing Champions Trophy.
“I am living my dream as I never thought of playing for the national team, and indeed not in the Champions Trophy. I always wanted to play at such venues as I watched matches on TV,” Miraz told Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday.
The promising young all rounder also said that he thinks his life has been changed dramatically as he was playing in the U-19 level even a year ago and now playing for the national team.
“Although I have been to England during my U-19 days, you know this is different. You see, even last year, I was playing for Bangladesh U-19 team and all of a sudden, my life changed so dramatically. But yes, for the better,” he added.
However, Miraz did not get any opportunity to prove his worth in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as he was not selected for Bangladesh’s first match in the tournament and in the next match when he was included in the playing XI, the match was washed out due to rain.
