With a 124-run (D/L) win over Pakistan after putting 319/3 in 48 overs in Group B match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, India have created a new record in ODI cricket.

300+ totals have been par score since last five years. World cricket is seeing 300+ totals almost in every match, even during a run chase! Who holds the most number of 300+ scores in ODIs (50-over)? The answer is India.

India’s 319/3 in the ‘so called’ high-voltage match against Pakistan was their 94th score of 300+ scores in 50-over ODI cricket. Australia have 300+ scores in ODIs 95 times, but 93 of them are in 50-over games. In the past, there used to be 60-over ODI cricket.

South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan have scored 300+ over half a century times in 50 overs cricket. While England, West Indies, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are the three full member teams to score 300+ totals less than 50 times.

There have been 591 scores of 300 or excess in 50-over ODI cricket by 18 teams.
