But former Indian cricket, now a commentator, Ravi Shastri doesn’t believe anyone in the Indian dressing room looks down upon the Bangladesh cricket team.

Rather Shastri believes like everyone else, the Indian cricketers too have huge respect for Bangladesh, and they don’t take the Tigers lighly at all.

Asked what he was expecting from the semifinal match between Bangladesh and India, Shastri said this could be an even contest with both the teams having the opportunity to win the match and seal the final berth.

“I think this would be an interesting game. India have huge respect for Bangladesh. They won’t make the mistake of taking Bangladesh lightly,” said Shastri.

He believes India will start the match as favorites, but with the game progressing, it will become an anyone’s game with either chance having the chance to win it.

“India will start the match as favorites. I am saying this because they are more experienced than Bangladesh. But you never know, on a given day, anything can happen.”
