Indian Cricket Team on Sunday suffered a massive defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy at the Oval. A fearsome burst of pace bowling from Mohammad Amir consigned India to a horror 180-run defeat. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুন কোহলিদের হকি খেলার পরামর্শ দিলেন ভন!]
Chasing Pakistan’s 338 for four, India eventually limped to 158, Pakistan winning by 180 runs to take their first global 50-over title since 1992.
After such a shameful performance, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan took a dig at Indian team for not performing well in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
In a tweet, Vaughan said that India should restrict themselves to Hockey only as Indian Hockey team on the same day thrashed Pakistan 7-1 in the semi-final of the World Hockey League.
“India need to stick to playing Hockey …. !!!!!! #PAKvIND” he tweeted after India’s defeat.
However, Vaughan’s tweet can be seen in the context of Indian team’s defeat against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy.
