But ahead of the game, India skipper Virat Kohli has got a concealed threat for Bangladesh, as he believes whoever they have to face in the battle for final, they will have some extra advantage.

Terming Edhbaston as their “second home”, Kohli said. “Birmingham is a very favourite ground to all of us. This ground suits very well with our way of playing.”

And what Kohli said is far from a lie. Indeed the Men in Blue have some brilliant records in this venue. Of the 9 matches they played here before, they won as many as 6 of them. Since 2013, they have won all four matches here in Edgbaston.

Here in the 2013 Champions Trophy, they dismissed Pakistan for just 165 runs before winning the match by 8 wickets. They also beat the hosts England at the same ground in the final of that edition by 5 wickets.

Then in 2014, India beat England in an ODI match here by 9 wickets with 117 balls left in hand. Again they dominated over Pakistan in the group phase of this ongoing edition in this very ground and won the match by 124 runs.
