Live: Mathews returns as SL bowl

The second phrase of Champions Trophy 2017 is coming to an end as Sri Lanka play against India in Group B match at The Oval, London. It’s a must-win game for the Lankans.

Sri Lanka elected to bowl first after winning toss. Regular skipper Angelo Mathews has returned into the side following an injury. It’s his first ODI game since August 2016. There have been three changes in SL XI.

Upul Tharanga has been ruled out due to suspension in over rate offence. Chamara Kapugedera has been ruled out due to injury while Seekkuge Prasanna misses out. Thisara Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka return alongside Mathews. They lost their previous match to South Africa by 96 runs at The Oval.

India didn’t need to make any change in their XI which played against Pakistan at Edgbaston. Ravichandran Ashwin misses out again.

In last 17 battles between these two sides, India remained victorious 14 times. They had defeated Sri Lanka in 2013 Champions Trophy Semi-final.
