Live: NZ choose to bowl in Cardiff opener

 

Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens is hosting it’s first match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. England are taking of New Zealand in the sixth match of the tournament. Blackcaps have elected to bowl first in a must-win clash.

It’s a cold morning in Cardiff. New Zealand’s captain Kane Williamson had no hesitations in bowling first. They shared a point with Australia due to wash out in their previous game in Birmingham. The Kiwis are going into the match with an unchanged XI.

England have brought leg-spinner Adil Rashid back into the team after he missed out against Bangladesh. He has replaced injured Chris Woakes, who is ruled out of the tournament. England are coming into the match with a convincing victory over Bangladesh at The Oval in the opening game.
