We have seeen many times batsmen scoring centuries with the bat. It is rare seeing a bowler scores century with the bowl. But the rare thing has been done by the Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. [বাংলায় পড়ুন: বল হাতে মাশরাফির সেঞ্চুরি]
The 33-year pacer became the first as well as only Bangladesh bowler to capture 100 away wickets after picking up the wicket of Jason Roy in his very first over of the clash between Bangladesh and England, on Thursday. Bangladesh however, lost the match despite of a great start by the team captain.
In 50-over cricket, the Bangladesh ODI captain is the highest away-wicket taker for his side. Shakib Al Hasan, the number one Bangladesh all rounder is next to Mashrafe Bin Mortaza with 87 wickets while another experienced spinner of the country, Abdur Razzak bagged 85 wickets thus far.
However, it is expected that very soon Shakib Al Hasan also would be able to capture 100 away wickets. But it would be difficult for Abdur Razzak who has been out the team since a long, to achieve the milestone as there is not much chances of him coming back to international cricket again.
