Mashrafe unworried over security concerns

Bangladesh are due to take on Australia in group A clash in the fifth match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at The Oval in London. Mashrafe attended at the press conference ahead of the game. Questions were asked about security systems in London. The skipper answered those questions positively.

“We are grateful to England that they toured our country although Morgan and few others didn’t come. Maybe they were frightened. Australia didn’t send their team. It’s all up to them,” he said, “Nowadays terrorist attacks are occurring everywhere in the world. It can happen at any place. There is nothing to give message. I can only say, there is no chance of creating an unwanted situation by piercing security systems in our country.”

Mashrafe also told that it is important to have confidence in security facilities given by the hosts and ICC.

“Most of the times we don’t have games being played in our country due to panics of terror attacks. But now everyone is watching us play even after an occurrence of it. As a result, the others will be encouraged. The quality of security depends upon hosts and ICC. It’s important to have confidence in them,” he added.
