Kusal Perera is going to be replaced by Dhananjaya de Silva in Sri Lanka’s squad for the remainder of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
The ICC Event Technical Committee on Saturday (June 10) has approved the move.

While batting for the islanders, Perera suffered a hamstring injury, which now seems to be so severe that he has become the second Sri Lankan player after Chamara Kapugedera to withdraw from the tournament.

Sri Lanka will face Asian rivals Pakistan in their third and last group game of the tournament, which now has turned out to be a virtual quarter-final for both sides. The match will be held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Monday (June 12).
