BCCI announced a full-strength squad for the West Indies tour which takes place just after the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit missed most of the Indian season due to injury. But the reason of his and Bumrah’s omissions is not known from the board. According to ESPNcricinfo, BCCI wants Bumrah to stay fit and be ready for Tests.
Left-handes batsman Rishabh Pant and left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav have earner call-ups for the Caribbean trip. Pant had played a T20I match against England this year, while Kuldeep was very impressive in his debut Test against Australia in Dharamsala.
The five-match ODI series between West Indies and India will begin on 23rd June in Port of Spain. The next four ODIs will be on June 25, 30, July 2 and 6. The only T20I clash between these two sides will be played on July 9 in Kingston.
