In the opening match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Tamim Iqbal brought up century against the host England. He smashed 12 boundaries including 11 fours and 1 six to brings up his 9th ODI hundred.

Earlier, in the 22nd over of the match, by hitting Plunkett for a four, Tamim Iqbal has become the first batsman of this edition to score fifty. He has to play 76 deliveries for his outstanding innings.

After reaching at the milestone, he becomes more furious and used to charge the bowlers. By the time of writing this report, Tamim is batting on 113 runs alongside Mushfiqur Rahim who is also remain unbeaten on 63 runs.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh are going solid with the help of Tamim-Mushfique’s unbeaten partnership. Tigers are now 230  for 2 after 41 overs.
