Tamim Iqbal is enjoying an astounding form. He has been Bangladesh’s finest performer so far in the Europe tour. And he has continued his brilliant form going in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as well. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ সেরা একাদশে তামিম, দ্বাদশ খেলোয়াড় কোহলি]
Tamim may have scored a duck in Bangladesh’s last match of the group phase against New Zealand. Still he is the third highest run-scorer of the tournament. With a brilliant 128 against England followed by another 95 against Australia, Tamim has so far gathered 223 runs to his name which puts him just behind India’s Shikhar Dhawan and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson.
And now, thanks to the extraordinary tough h has been of late, Tamim has also made his way into Cricket Australia’s Team of the Champions Trophy XI (so far).
About Tamim’s inclusion in the XI, Cricket Australia wrote: He may have fallen cheaply in a famous win against New Zealand, but the Bangladesh opener fired against the might of England and Australia and will likely need to again if the Tigers are to knock off India in the semis. A score of 128 against the hosts was followed by 95 against the Aussies, the latter in a total of just 182.
