Two days and several more hours to go before Bangladesh will step into the ground for a big semifinal clash against India, the significance of which stretches far from only a ‘semifinal’ as it is the first ever major tournament last four appearance for the Tigers.
The case of Australia being thrashed out by arch rival England in the last group match paved the way for Bangladesh to achieve the ticket of semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy, 2017, have been outshined by a contentious performance of Tigers against New Zealand in their final group stage combat without which Bangladesh would have thrown out of the competition right away.

India outclassed Bangladesh in the practice match before the tournament initiated but young all – rounder Mosaddek Hossain denied to imprint the occasion in his mind prior to a semifinal match against India.
“Why are you talking about that match? – he said when a journalist from a well circulated online portal asked Mosaddek Hossain.
“That was a mere practice match that cannot be compared with a semifinal clash with India. Listen, we will show a very good batting performance. Tamim Iqbal will play a big knock in that match” – the young gun predicted.
