The Bangladesh Cricket team has qualified for the Semi-Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. They earned the honor by ending the group stage of the tournament as runners-up. Former national cricket team opener Shahriar Nafees believes it is now the time Bangladesh should stop taking any stress and play with full confidence. Mashrafe Mortaza’s side will now face the defending champions Indian Cricket team in the knock out match coming ahead. It is always a huge pressure to face the Men in Blue and no doubt it is even more if that is in the Semi-Final. But Shahriar Nafees advised his national cricketers to take this match as any other game.

The cricketer who scored the first hundred from Bangladesh in their history of the ICC Champions Trophy also said, “Bangladesh is playing good cricket consistently. We are improving everyday in batting, bowling and fielding- all three departments. We played excellent in our must win match/ Bangladesh won the match with tight bowling and fielding along with fantastic batting”.

”I personally feel Bangladesh should play against India without any extra burden. They should not take stress thinking it as an Semi-Final. They should just give their best. The achievement we have had till now is huge,” the opener also added.

The left handed batsman who himself scored an hundred in the 2006 edition of ICC Champions Trophy feels the three hundreds Bangladesh scored in the group stage is a big example of how they have progressed in the recent years.
