The bet was decided upon at the “Aaj Tak Salaam Cricket” conclave that took place in London on May 31. It happened when Warne, Ganguly and former Australian skipper Michael Clarke spoke about ICC Champions Trophy and picked their favorite teams. When Clarke predicted an India-Australia final on June 18, Ganguly disagreed with him and said England will be in the final instead of Australia. Warne supported Clarke’s claim and said Australia is a better side than England and challenged Ganguly to a bet on who will win the match between Australia and England on June 10.
The 2nd highest wicket taker in test match history, Warne told Ganguly to buy him dinner and wear an Australian jersey if the Steve Smith-led side won.But if the hosts won, Warne added that he would wear an England jersey for the entire day. Both of them agreed for the bet.
England won the match and knocked the Aussies out of the tournament. So now, Shane Warne has to put on their Ashes rival’s jersey for the entire day.
.@SGanguly99 You win our bet mate. I will find an England shirt and wear it all day ! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😩😩😩😩😩😩
