Even many of them were expecting the ODI captain of Bangladesh side to quit from international cricket after the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
But all the Mashrafe Bin Mortaza fans in Bangladesh were expecting him to lead the side in both ODI and T20 formats till the upcoming 50-over ICC Cricket World Cup which is scheduled to be held in England and Wales in 2019.
Although Mashrafe hasn’t said good bye to ODI cricket yet, still it has been a matter of worry for his fans whether he would continue playing ODIs till the next Cricket World Cup as he already announced his retirement from T20Is.
All of a sudden the experienced fast bowler announced his retirement from the T20 international during the last bilateral series of the side in Sri Lanka.
However, Mashrafe was asked at the post-match press conference if he’s mulling his future and whether he would be playing in the 2019 World Cup. But he did not clear anything as he said he was not sure and hasn’t decided anything yet.
“May be, may be not. I am still enjoying my game,” Mashrafe said at the post-match press conference.
