Recently, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the head coach of Team India, replacing another Indian great Anil Kumble.
Shastri’s joining the Indian camp has been making headlines for the last couple of days. So while talking the reporters on Monday, Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin was asked to comment on Team India’s new coach.
Ravichandran Ashwin when questioned by the situation regarding India’s newly appointed staff at an event in Mumbai on Monday.
But the 30-year-old cricketer was reluctant to comment on the appointment of Ravi Shastri and took the diplomatic route while answering.
“I think, the new coach or the new support staff, it does not come under my jurisdiction, it is not something I will take a call on,” said Ashwin, who is 25 short of reaching the milestone of 300 Test wickets.
“I am not being diplomatic, it will be unfair for me to pass a comment on that. Likewise always, the Indian team moves on, India moves on (and) we have to find out in course of time, how it is going,” he added.
