Irfan Sukkur scored highest 104 runs for the visiting side. By smashing 15 fours he brought up his ton under-pressure and helped the visiting side to post a well-fighting score in the bouncy wicket of Marara Cricket Ground.

After winning the toss, at a stage, Bangladesh High Performance (HP) XI lost five wickets on 169. Then Saifuddin and Irfan stood a partnership of 89 runs in the sixth wicket stand. Saifuddin got rid of scoring 26 runs but impressive Irfan Sukkur continue his blistering knock. He alongside with Tanbir Hayder added 54 runs  in the seventh wicket-partnership. Their unbeaten partnership led Bangladesh to end of the day to remain on high.

Earlier, Liton Das and Mehedi Maruf added 44 runs in the opening partnership. Liton Das after a worst ODI series, failed to prove his worth in the three-dayer match too. He got out cheaply, scoring just 12 runs.

Anamul Haque and Nazmul Hasan Shanto also failed to shine as Bangladesh fall in trouble. Anamul was bowled by Gregory while Shanto added only 13 as Bangladesh HP lost their top three batsmen in just 89 runs.

Then, Mehedi Maruf led Bangladesh and tried to take his side in a comfortable positions. All on a sudden, he fall in a trap of Gregory and missed out the opportunity to bring up century. Before getting out on 87, he adorned his innings with 6 fours and two impressive sixes.
