If everything remains alright, Mehedi Hasan Miraz is all set to leave for West Indies to partake in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on July 27 night.

In CPL, Miraz will play for Trinbago Knight Riders, who roped in the Bangladeshi off-spinning all-rounder in place of Australian Chinaman bowler Brad Hogg.

This season of CPL will go underway on August 4. And Miraz’s team will take on St. Lucia Stars on the very first day.

However, Miraz will not be able to play the entirety of the tournament. In order to take the last-minute preparation for the Australia Tests, Miraz will have to return home by August 15. So he will be available for selection in the Trinbago squad for the first five matches.

Shakib Al Hasan, the number one all-rounder, will play in the same tournament for Jamaica Tallawahs. He is slated to leave the country on July 29.

Miraz is the third player to take part in the CPL. Apart from Shakib and Miraz, Tamim Iqbal is the only other man to have got the opportunity to play in CPL.
