According to a report published on Jagonews24, senior cricketers Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal are going to leave their previous teams to join new teams. Only Shakib Al Hasan (Dhaka Dynamites) and Mahmudullah Riyad (Khulna Titans) are remaining in their previous teams.
Rumors are doing the rounds that Mashrafe, after leading Comilla Victorians for two consecutive seasons, will leave the team due to his rift with the franchise owners. It is highly likely that Mashrafe might select Rangpur Riders as his new destination.
But if Mashrafe leaves Comilla Victorians, then who will fill in his shoes? According to the latest rumors within the country’s cricketing circles, Tamim Iqbal is all set to join the Victorians. It has been learnt that Tamim has already given his oral consent to the franchise, and now the formalities are left.
While the previous two moves were not hundred percent sure, one thing is a sure-shot certainty that after the controversial chapter between Mushfiqur Rahim and Barisal Bulls owner Abdul Awal Chowdhury, the former won’t stay in his previous team.
Sources suggest that Mushfiqur has been in connection with Rajshahi Kings for last couple of months, and soon the franchise will officially announce the appointment of the Test skipper of Bangladesh national side.
