The pace sensation Rubel Hossain will be completely fit by August 5, informed national team’s assistant physician Monirul Amin Hawladar while talking to the newsmen on Monday (July 17).
He said, “Four weeks have passed since Rubel’s surgery. So now he can gradually start working on his fitness. After the completion of six weeks, he can directly join the fitness camp.”
He also talked about Shakib’s injury, “Shakib’s injury is an ankle sprain. It’s among the Grade-1. He is receiving conservative treatment. And he is making quick recovery. Hopefully withing 10 days of rest, he will be totally fine.”
The Bagerhat-born pacer was ruled for at least a month last month after breaking his jaw while on tour in England. The reason for this was that Rubel collided with a door in the team hotel.
Rubel was an integral part of Bangladesh’s pace department in the ICC Champions Trophy and was part of the team that defied all odds to reach the semi-final. They faced eventual runners-up India who beat them by eight wickets to cruise into the final.
