Ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has informed that he loves to enjoy his game wherever he plays cricket. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ “যেখানেই খেলি, রোমাঞ্চ থাকে”]
Shakib spoke to the reporters before heading towards West Indies to play Caribbean Premier League T20 2017 for Jamaica Tallawahs.
“Yes, it’s very enjoyable. Every tournament presents new experience, fun and excitement. I have been playing cricket for the last 10-15 years. Wherever I play, it’s enjoyable. I play because I enjoy myself,” he said.
Shakib is the only Bangladeshi player to play IPL, BBL, PSL, County cricket, CPL- all of them. Comparing IPL with CPL, he said that getting a place in the playing XI in IPL is much harder than CPL.
“At the IPL there are ten foreign players in every team. The competition for places is much harder there,” said Shakib.
“Even if you do well in one match you might not feature in the next match due to team combination situations.
“At the CPL and PSL, at least four players stay fixed in the squad. They don’t change the lineup unless it’s very necessary.
“I do not see much difference other than the once I stated. The environment and quality of cricket is good at every place,” he added.
This year’s CPL will start from August 4. Alongside Shakib, teenage all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is another Bangladeshi who will play in this tournament. He will take part in the ‘biggest party in sport’ for Trinbago Knight Riders.
Shakib played for Jamaica in 2016 as well. He won the title with the likes of Chris Gayle and Kumar Sangakkara.
