Shakib has a slight injury to his left leg for which he will not partake in the conditioning camp for 5-6 days.
However, the good news is that Shakib’s condition is not anything serious at all, and he is recovering very fast. So it is being expected that he might rejoin the conditioning camp on July 22.
Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha will return on July 28, and then the full-fledged batting and bowling practice sessions will get underway. Thus, it won’t be a problem for the number one all-rounder to be present there from the very beginning.
From the first week of August to the middle of it, the Tigers are scheduled to play three two-day intra-squad practice matches, and Shakib will most probably take part in those three matches as well.
Though Shakib is currently unable to do the fitness works, trainer Mario Villavarayan has confirmed that he will restart light physical training in a couple of days’ time. Shakib will also start cycling from Tuesday. Even if he can’t do that on Tuesday, he will certainly do that from Wednesday.
