National team outcast Nasir Hossain believes the way he has been preparing for last few months, it’s just a matter of time before he gets back into the national set-up once again, specially for the 50-over format.
But even if he gets recall from the national team, what would be his batting position? Nasir thinks number 6 is the perfect position for him to bat on.
“I think the sixth position in the batting order in the national team is more suitable for me. I bat a bit higher in the Premier League, because I can’t do much in the sixth position there. For me sixth is the best position for me,” said Nasir.
“I don’t think that myself or any other player have any rivalry in the team. They are playing good for the team and I pray so that they can continue to do so. The national team are for everyone. If a player performs well, he will surely get a chance,” he added.
The all-rounder has always been under the scanner for his so-called weakness against fast bowling. But Nasir is firmly of the opinion that the accusations are far from true, as he is equally capable of handling fast balls.
“Rumours regarding my ability to face fast bowling are not true. I scored runs even outside the country, be it in the age-level team or international stage. I don’t know who is spreading this, but I think this might be their personal opinion,” he said.
