90 foreign cricketers drafted for Global T20 League

Likewise before for any foreign T20 leagues, Board of Control for Cricket in India did not give permission to Indian cricketers, thus no Indian cricketer will feature in the draft.

The first season of the Global T20 League will kick off on November this year. The 13 countries represented are – Afghanistan, Australia, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Each franchise team can have to authority to select a maximum number of five international cricketers including Kolpak players.

It can be noted there are ten Kolpak players in the list for draft.

Apart from Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle, former Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haque, Kevin Pietersen, Eoin Morgan, Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo and Lasith Malinga are starring the show.
