Ashley Wright joins Rajshahi Kings as assistant coach

Ahead of the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Rajshahi Kings have appointed Ashley Wright as the assistant coach of the side. He is the older sibling of star English cricketer Luke Wright.

In January 2016, Wright was appointed director of cricket for the Guernsey Cricket Board (GCB), a position which includes the role of head coach of the Guernsey national team.

He was formerly working with Sussex CCC coaching the EPP boys and girls and working across the U9 to U17 set up there. He is also the Head of Cricket at Ardingly College where squad age groups range from 12-18 years old. In addition he is the batting consultant to the England Deaf Team.

Earlier, the franchise confirmed the inclusion of Luke Wright to the side. His only appearance in the BPL was in the 2013 edition, when he struck a half-century in his three innings for eventual champions Dhaka Gladiators.

To be noted, Rajshahi Kings appointed one of the most designated Bangladeshi coaches at the moment, Sarwar Imran as the head coach of the side.
