The schedule of fifth edition of Bangladesh Premier League has been finalized. BPL T20 2017 is slated to get underway from 2 November, which is just 85 days away from now. On Wednesday, Afzalur Rahman Sinha, the chairman of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), has informed that Barisal Bulls won’t be able to participate in this year’s BPL as they didn’t fulfill the conditions of BPL governing committee.
A meeting among the members of BPL governing committee ahead of the impending BPL season 5, was held on Wednesday. After not getting response from Barisal Bulls, the BPL governing committee has been finally comes to a decision not to give permission to Barisal Bulls for their participation in the upcoming edition.
Afzalur Rahman Sinha, the chairman of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), confirmed this news and told, “Today we met in a meeting for BPL-5. We have discussed and took decision about lots of things. Barisal Bulls didn’t meet financial terms & conditions. Hence, we have decided, not to allow Barisal in BPL-5.”
Though BPL governing council has decided to not allow Barisal in BPL-5, the owner of Barisal Bulls still aiming to take part in BPL T20 2017.
