Batsmen dominant on day-2

Batsmen dominant on day-2 of the ongoing warm-up match between Mushfiqur Rahim’s BCB Red team and Tamim Iqbal’s BCB Green Team. Mominul Haque, Nasir Hossain and Tanvir Hayder hammered fifty but all of them, failed to convert it to century. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ ব্যাটসম্যানদের দখলে দ্বিতীয় দিন]

Tamim Iqbal alongside Mominul Haque opened day two’s game. Tamim trapped by Mahmudullah Riyad while taking a run and got out scoring 29. But his partner Mominul Haque brought up fifty. He played well but  removed by Taijul Isla. He left the ground after scoring 73 runs.

After his departure, Sabbir came to bat, played two superb shots to pick up two boundaries but eventually got out and failed to prove his worth.

Then Nasir Hossain played tremendous cricket. He was furious and scored quick runs by the help of his firing innings. He went to lunch break, remaining unbeaten on 32. After the lunch break, he completed his fifty. To reach in the milestone, he smashed three massive sixes. Despite of scoring fifty, he also missed out the chance to lead it to century as he exulted on 62.

Later, Mominul and Nasir were followed by Tanbir Hayder, who also got the taste of fifty. He added vital 51 runs for his side. By riding his tremendous knock, Tamim and his co got a lead of 143 runs in the first innings as they end their innings on 283.

Among the bowlers, Rubel Hossain and Saqlain bagged 3 wickets each while Taijul got 2  wickets.

In the reply of their innings, Team Mushfiq lost Imrul Kayes’s (8) wicket before stumps day-2. They will start day- 3 from 24/1. Two unbeaten batsmen are Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Soumya Sarkar.
