BCB names HP squad for England tour

Helmot wants some HP cricketers in national team

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s ‘High Performance’ unit will tour to England on September to feature in eight 50-over matches against some of the County cricket teams. Ahead of this tour, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 16-member squad on Sunday. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ ইংল্যান্ড সফরের জন্য এইচপি দল ঘোষণা]

Young talented batsmen who is considered as the biggest asset for upcoming Bangladesh national cricket team, Nazmul Hossain Shanto is named as the captain of HP unit for this tour. While, Tanbir Hayder has been named as his deputy.

Four members of Bangladesh national cricket team- Mosaddek Hossain, Jubair Hossain, Shuvashis Roy, Abu Hider Rony are also included in the squad of England tour.

If everything goes according to plans then cricketers will start their journey towards England On September 5. After reaching there, they will be featured in 8 matches on 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 17 September respectively.

HP squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Zakir Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Abu Hider Rony Zakir Hasan,  Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Imran Ali Enam, Shadman Islam, Syed Khalid Hossain, Tanbir Hayder Khan (Vice-Captain), Shuvashis Roy, Irfaan Shukkur,  Yasir Ali Chowdhury,  Shaif Uddin, Al-Amin, Mahadi Hasan, Jubair Hossain.

Tour itinerary is as follows-

05 Sept. 17 Arrival in the UK and transfer to Nottingham
06 Sept. 17 Training TBC
07 Sept. 17 Match vs Nottingham CCC 2nd XI/Academy – 50 overs Lady Bay Cricket Ground, West Bridgford
08 Sept. 17 Match vs Nottingham CCC 2nd XI/Academy – 50 overs Lady Bay Cricket Ground, West Bridgford
09 Sept. 17 Rest Day
10 Sept. 17 Match vs Northants CCC 2nd XI/ Academy –  50 oversTransfer to Birmingham Brixworth Cricket Club
11 Sept. 17 Match vs Lancashire CCC 2nd XI – 50 overs TBC
12 Sept. 17 Match vs Warwickshire CCC 2nd XI –  50 overs TBC
13. Sept. 17 Rest Day
14. Sept. 17 Match vs Worcestershire CCC 2nd XI/Academy –  50 overs Wolverhampton Cricket Club
