Earlier it was all set to take place at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah but incessant rainfall of the monsoon caused severe water clogging in and outside the stadium.

The main entrance of the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium is also submerged under water. Hence BCB had taken an effort to shift the preparation match from Fatullah to BKSP.

Reports said Australia team management expressed their unwillingness to travel all the way to BKSP to take part in the preparation.

In that context Bangladesh cricket authorities has once again started trying to prepare Fatullah as the venue of the preparation match.

BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said, “We are still trying to arrange the match in Fatullah. Several pumping machines has been set inside the stadium to drain stagnant water. We are also thinking about an alternative venue if ultimately we would fail to prepare Fatullah.”
